Exploring Fetish Desires in the Foundation of Sacred Sexuality

clamps Exploring Fetish Desires in the Foundation of Sacred SexualityDeepening our Connection to Self and our Partners through the Ritual Expression of D/s and BDSM

A Workshop on the Empowering and Healing Dimensions of Conscious Fetish

If you are curious about how to “fit” your Fetish or Kink Desires into your Sacred Sexuality, this workshop will help you begin the journey.

The workshop itself will be experiential as well as contextual. It will be held within a ritual container and you will learn about the process and tools of ritual, as well as perform personal rituals to take you deeper into your desire and intention. There will be an opportunity to compassionately examine the conflicts within that may limit or hold you back in body, mind and soul.

What We Will Explore

• Using Sacred Sexuality, Neo-Tantra  and Mindfulness to develop a mature foundation for our Fetish desires.

• Unravel the Paradox of Dark and Light Eros….how both are true, not either/or…and sacred
• Reflect on our judgments, projections and fears…creating a safe environment to share honestly
• The Mythic Structure of Fetish,  D/s and BDSM….how the sacred and profane hold together
• Embracing your Inner Slut…honoring, welcoming, blessing his/her truth, pleasure and value

• Taking our Desire out of our Head and into our Body

• Combining Sacred Sexuality and Fetish in a session – what does it look like
• Safety – physical, emotional, spiritual
• Sacred Ritual D/s, BDSM demo

Context:

Since the sexual revolution began in the 1960’s, two distinct pathways of Conscious Eros have emerged. One is the path of the Light that includes Tantra, Taoism, Quodoshka and other spiritual orientations. One is the path into the Darker, Primitive aspects of Eros – Fetish, Kink, Dominance and submission and BDSM.

Until recently these two distinct paths have appeared separate and contrary. But Eros holds both of these aspects in ways that are authentic, valid, inherent, true and sacred. Dark and Light are the Yin/Yang of Eros. Energetically, the path of the Light ascends thru the crown to heaven (spirit/universal,/out of body/refined), the path of Dark descends thru the root into the earth (soul/personal/into the body/primitive).

Fetish sexuality, for the reported 20 to 30 percent of the human population so inclined, is like a mythic erotic gold mine, buried deep within. When it is untangled from our inherent fear, shame and erroneous moral judgments, the Fetish path offers a rich treasure chest of vivid sensation, intense emotion, epic erotic mythos, alluring personas, taboo sexual ecstasy and empowering psychological depths.

Fetish is also the most vilified, feared and misunderstood dimension of our sexual nature.  For centuries, culture, religion, morality, and family, have tried to nullify all but the most rudimentary dimensions of our sexual nature, and project their own superstitions, taboos, abominations and fears onto anything that deviates from their narrow view.

This has driven many people with Fetish desires, to suppress, hide, or deny the truth of this critically important dimension of their personality. Our culture offers very few safe places for someone to discuss and learn about how to consciously explore this aspect of their desire.

What do you do with your own dark, taboo desires?

How do you respond if a partner or client requests to explore a fetish desire such as dominance/submission,  bondage, spanking or some aspect of sadomasochism? Do you honor them…engage…judge? Is there some part of you that projects fear, evil, shame, disgust, pathology or spiritual superiority onto them? Or does a part of you get really turned on?  …or do both disgust and desire get tangled together? Was inexperience in how to support a lover’s dark desires an issue?

Wouldn’t it be Great to Consciously Explore and Express Our Secret Sexual Desires and Resolve Fear, Shame, Shadow and Harsh Judgments we may have held for decades!
Testimonials

“I’ve attended more workshops than I can count, often to be disappointed. I’m really glad that I followed my intuition and attended Galen’s workshop. He creates a very safe and caring container to explore personal experiences and issues focused on Dominance and submission and erotic BDSM. I had an opportunity to identify and begin to address blocks that have stifled me from allowing my full, erotic self to be seen. I was especially excited to find that I was able to make use of my discoveries immediately. Galen is intuitive and a very skilled facilitator and I plan to work with him one-one-one.”   – Karen, Sacramento

“Galen’s Sacred D/s workshop ventures into an extremely private and intimate subject for most and yet he creates an environment of safety, trust and honesty that draws people out to ask questions and speak their mind, offering an opportunity to not only learn from Galen himself but those around you. The subject matter is covered with clarity and in a very approachable manner so whether you’ve practiced D/s for a long time or are just thinking about exploring for the first time you’ll learn something new.” – Matt, Seattle
About Galen: My professional work as a guide for individuals and groups is focused on creating a safe, sacred environment that supports the expression and exploration of the hidden or repressed aspects of our Eros. This includes any aspect of Kink, Fetish, BDSM, or Dominance and submission. My intention is to help others confidently embody the truth of their Eros, and begin to heal the fear, shame or judgment that may have been holding their Eros back. I support anyone who desires to ground their sexuality, both Dark and Light, in a personally sacred and mature foundation. I believe Dark and Light are the Yin/Yang of Eros.

My intensive exploration of the spiritual, psychological, emotional, mythic and ritual aspects of Eros and Conscious Awareness over the last 13 years, as well as my personal work and training in shadow work, voice-dialogue, depth psychology, conscious movement, conscious touch, neo-Tantra, D/s and BDSM, shamanism and a variety of ritual practices, has led me to the path of being an Erotic guide, mentor, advocate and healer.

Besides my private practice (www.DakaDom.com ), I conduct workshops that explore the sacred aspects of both Light and Dark Eros and sexual healing. I have worked with hundreds of people individually and in my workshops throughout the West Coast. In the Sacred Sexuality Community, I have studied and worked with Anna Marti, Shakti Milan, Baba Dez, Mukee Olan, Amara Charles, Zeerak Khan, Reid Mahalo and many others. I have presented in the past at The Daka/Dakini Conference, Sedona, AZ, The Sacred Sexuality Conference, Seattle, WA; DomConLA, LA, CA; KinkAcademy.com educator; Living in Leather, Dallas and Seattle; The Eulenspiegel Society, NYC; Rose City Discussion Club, Portland; the Wet Spot, Seattle; and others.
